Calamus sp.
Stems solitary, 6 m long, 2 cm diameter. Sheaths green with brown tomentum, with straight,
black, flat spines; ocreas scarcely developed; petioles 18 cm long; rachises 186 cm long; pinnae
10 per side of rachis, broad, elliptic, distantly but regularly arranged, without any spinules, with
numerous vestigial spinules all over abaxial surface. Sterile plant.
