Calamus sp.
Stems 10 m long, 1.5 cm diameter. Sheaths densely spiny with horizontal, needle-like spines;
petioles 8 cm long; rachises 98 cm long; pinnae 9 per side of rachis, in alternate pairs, elliptic,
without spinules, with numerous vestigial spinules all over abaxial surface, the apical pair
opposite, not vestigial; cirri spines more or less regular. Sterile palm.
