NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN ?Mini 03698002 Stems solitary but several close together, 12 m long, 2 cm diameter. Sheaths densely covered with reddish-brown, narrow, needle-like, tomentose spines; petioles 0 cm; rachises 113 cm long; pinnae 12 per side of rachis, arranged in divergent pairs, broad, elliptic, with short spinules on veins adaxially; cirri spines more or less irregular. Inflorescences in bud; rachis bracts with a fringe of spinules at apex. A. Henderson, Moh.
