Potamogetón gramineus L*
Small plants with floating leaves in water
less than 15 cm deep near road, larger plants
(in fruit) in water 60 cm deep extending above
layer of Utricularia and Mvriophyllum.
Myriophyllum exalbescens and Utricularia
vulgaris dominant in shallower water, Chara
dominant in deeper water; also Scirpus acutus,
Nymphaea, Potamogeton gramineus, P. alpinus
var. tenuifolius, Naias flexilis, Sparganium.
Bottom sandy but generally covered with 15
cm or more of organic matter, water mostly
less than 2 m*, densely vegetated throughout.
Pond of 8-10 acres on small creek flowing
into Lake Einily, south side of County
Highway D, just south of Lake Emily.
