Flat sandy. Pastured former savanna with forest islands with Curatella americana, Samanea tubulosa, Attalea phalerata (and a few Syagrus sancona, Schefflera morototoni, Schoepfia tetramera.

Erect herbs or shrublets, ca. 0.5 m tall, in grassy area around edge of marshy area. Corolla deep blue.
