FLORENCE COUNTY Stream meandered through sedge meadow and mixed conifer-hardwood forest, stream about 10-30 feet wide, mostly less than 1 foot deep, bottom soft mud to cobbles, water clear and colorless, very warm below "Halls Lake". Aquatic vegeta- tion locally dense: Sparganium chlorocarpum, Potamogeton pectinatus, P. epihydrus, P. zosteri- formis, P. alpinus, Myriophyllum sp., Polygonum natans.
