Spokane County, Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge; 4.5 miles E of Cheney,
WA; Windmill Pond located just E of Administrative Buildings ofthe Refuge.
One-acre lake; water level regulated. Completely littoral and dominated by
Potamogeton sp., Ceratophyllum demersum, and Elodea canadensis. Marsh
surrounding the lake dominated by Typha latifolia, Phalaris arundinacea, and
Corex utriculata. Abundance: common free-floating aquatic.
