GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Kako River vicinity, above Kako Village,
near Camp 3, ca. 22 air km east of Tulameng summit (summit 1534m, N
5°33'27.1", W 60°59'34.7"). 521 m. 5°34'25.1"N 60o47'47.3"W.
Brocchina and Stegolepis savanna with drier shrub islands around rock
outcrops. Erect herb. Leaves ascending. Infructescence terminal, spicate,
with fruits pendant on rachis. Palea/lemma green with erect white
trichomes. Nutlet light green Adjacent to savanna collected on July 1, but
separated by a creek and scrub buffer. Silica sample.
