5A IZ O PLANTS OF THE GUIANAS Lauraceae Nectandra cuspidata Nees Det. H. van der Werff, 2011 GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Along the banks of Cara Creek and small islands in creek, beginning at 5°32'50.3"N, 60°53'47.9"W and 506 m elevation (south of Camp 4); tributary of Kako River, near border with Venezuela. 543 m. 5°32'43"N 60°54'9.8"W. Islands formed from gravel bars, prone to scouring, rich in herbs and shrubs. Rock substrate of pink sandstone and red chert. Tree to 8m. Leaves dark green above, slightly silver below.
