GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Kako River vicinity, above Kako Village,
near Camp 3, ca. 22 air km east of Tulameng summit (summit 1534m, N
5°33,27.1", W 60°59'34.7"). 493 m. 5°33’33.5"N 60°46'55.2"W. White
sand savanna with sandstone rock outcrops. Dimorphandra dominant on
shrub islands and drier parts. Grading to wet areas with standing water.
Central part recently burned. Erect herb. Common in savanna in wet
areas. Stem reddish, leaves appressed against stem. Entire plant covered
in white trichomes. Inflor axillary and terminal, clustered at tips. Bracts
subtending flowers light green, calyx light green, corolla yellow. Silica
sample.
