Eschscholzia californica Cham. var. californica

No. 8oo2, collected June 8, at Yreka, Siskiyou county. In
these specimens the calyx is larger, abruptly acuminate, the
acuteiination 4 mm. long. Some of the pods ate 9 cm. long, the
seeds examined immature, greenish. The same thing appar-
ently, is plentiful in Shasta Valley between Edgewood and
Montague. According to range this should be E. cohfinis, but
m does not seem to diffet materially from no. 7903. /- v
