Cataphylls coriaceous/ narrowly lanceolater yellow green* drying brown* intact/ eventually deciduous; petiole flattened to bluntly sulcate adaxially/ rounded abaxially; geniculum slightly thicker than petiole? blades coriaceous/ rubbery/ ovate-lanceolate with a cordate base/ margins broadly/ Kamemoto 193 CULTIVATED AT MO MISSOURI BOTANICAL GARDEN HERBARIUM (MO) weakly undulate/ sinus parabolic to spathulate/ upper surface weakly glossy to semiglossy/ medium green/ lower surface semiglossy to glossy/ paler? midrib prominently convexly raised above/ higher than broad at base becoming convex towards apex below? inflorescence spreading? peduncle terete with abaxial rib? spathe spreading with margins prominently rolled under/ coriaceous/ medium green/ lanceolate/ inequilaterally decurrent? spadix green/ long tapered/ erect.
