Atractomorpha echinata Hoffman
Mature orange zygotes formed in culture. Cul-
ture was isolated from zygote germling obtain-
ed from a dried soil sample collected in July
or August, 1977, by Dr, Vernon Proctor from a
shallow pond in an uncultivated field owned by
Bruce Norwood and located 1 mile due west of
New Deal, Lubbock County, Texas. Zygotes were
formed in 10-12 ml of Modified Pocock's Medium
in 60x15 mm Petri dishes prepared on 5/27/82
and maintained at 20C with illumination pro-
vided by cool-white fluorescent lamps on a
12:12 h LD cycle at 180-240 jiEin m-2 $-1.
Cells were collected and mounted on 6/25/82.
