over woodland of Pinus monophylla and Juniperus occidentals with Artemisia
tridentata, Ephedra viridis, Chrysothamnus nauseosus, Tetradymia canescens,
Eriogonum wrightii var. subscaposum, Elymus elymoides, Poa secunda, many
annuals. Schistose, metasedimentary substrate.
Perennial herb, flowers with wrinkled white petals and orange-yellow stamens.
