  • Description

    Pileus 3-6 cm broad, convex to plano-convex, dry to moist, covered with a white superficial canescent mycelial hoar, dark reddish brown underneath, red brown with age. Flesh white, unchanging, with mild odor and taste. Hymenophore tubulose, adnate to adnexed. Tubes light yellow to bright yellow, eventually greenish yellow, unchanging; pores concolorous reacting as tubes. Stipe 5-7.5 cm long, 5-15 mm broad, equal to subclavate to fusoid (tapering to a point at base), dry, subscabrous to pruinose to glabrous, sometimes faintly longitudinally ridged, yellow at apex, white or with pale pink flushes below, white at the point where base tapers to a point, unchanging with white basal mycelium. NH4: no reaction anywhere. Pileipellis palisadic beneath a superficial covering of repent, cylindrical hyphae. Gregarious. Phenology of specimen: Basidiomata.
