Lowland mesic forest with canopy ca 5 m just below ridge line. W/ Metrosideros collina, Dicranopteris linearis, Alphitonia zizyphoides, Dodonaea viscosa, Glochidian spp., Wikstroemia fbetida, Reus prolixa, Premna, Chamaesyce, Cyperus, Davallia solida, Lygodium reticulatum, Asplénium nidus. tree, 4 m tall, trunk 7-10 cm diameter at base, gray-brown mottled with green- white lichen, leaves medium green with yellow-green costa, corolla cream, fruit blackish, occasional Elevation: 427 m K.
