The Rio Cuchi now a small now-flowing stream on wide,
shallow sandy bed, with many Cyperaceae, Andropogoneae,
and with cerrado woodland (Combretum leprosum) on
sandy soil above the floodplain on both sides.
On damp sand in full sun. Bracts around the heads light
greenish.
