SE of plaza central of Vallegrande.
18°32’31”S, 64°02’27”W. alt. 2420 m.
Very steep E-facing escarpment on sandstone and shale,
below pass on road from Santa Rosita (near Vallegrande) to
Juntas de Huaricongas. Polylepis, Podocarpus parlatorei
shrubland with no large trees.
Flowering stems to 3 m. tall, from clump of many leaves at base,
and gradually becoming reduced in size upward on the stem.
Heads greenish white.
