03691883 SA The New York Botanical Garden Plants of BOLIVIA Cucurbitaceae Gurania eriantha (Poepp. & Endl.) Cogn. det. M. Nee, 2009 Depto. Cochabamba, Prov. Chapare, N side outskirts of Villa Tunari, near the Río Espíritu Santo side. 16°58’10”S, 65°25’05’W. alt 310 m. With scattered houses, former lowland evergreen tropical forest, with a few scattered trees remaining. Vine on tree trunk, to 5 m. tall. Inflorescence female; hanging, only 1-2 fruit seem to be developing in each inflorescence. Fruit light orange, with an unpleasant odor when cut open. Coll.: M. Nee, M. Mendoza & M.
