Haynes (UNA), 1997 Department of Oruru Province of Cercado Small pond below the highway to La Paz. Approximately 14 km. east of the town of Huayalmarca. Elevation: ca. 4300 m. Abundant. Growing throughout the pond. This system is fed by a small stream and runoff from adjacent hillsides and probably contains water throughout the year. The water is extremely basic (pH > 10.0).
