Ritter (NHA), 1999 Departamento: Tarija Provincia: Cercado Ciudad de Tarija Marshy area along thé edges of the Río Guadalquivir. 21°31'58"S. 64°44'35"W. Elev. 1800 m Emergent herb. Occasional. Growing in damp, sandy clay, near to the transition between wetland and terrestrial habitats. Flowers white. Fruits spiny. Habitat: marshy area alongside the river, characterized by a mixture of vegetation. Some areas are dominated by Myriophyllum aquaticum and others by Eichhornia crassipes.
