Ritter (NHA), 1999 Department of Beni Province of Vaca Diez Town of Riberalta A large wetland S.E. of the airport. Elevation ca. 170 meters. Approximate center of the collecting area: 11°02'04"S. 66°03'25"W. Climber. Common: growing on floating mats. Stems winged, spinescent. Pedicels red. Flowers orange. Fruits present. Habitat: floating mats dominated by Fuirena umbellata, with abundant Ludwigia nervosa. Water dark and acidic. Substrate: sediment over sand with a little clay.
