Emergent herb. Abundant: at times
forming dense colonies. Generally
rooted in the soil, but at times,
growing on floating mats. Fertile.
Habitat: large floating mats of
Oxycaryum, Fuirena and Poaceae
indet., with scattered trees and
shrubs. Water dark and acidic.
Substrate: sediment over day and
sand.
