Ritter (NHA), 1998 Flora of Bolivia Family: Sterculiaceae Byttneria Department of Santa Cruz Province of Angel Sandoval A large cove at the southern end of Laguna Mandiore. Separated from the main body of the lake by a narrow spit of land. Elevation approximately 90 m. Center of collecting: 18°14'12"S. 57°37'38"W. Shrub. Growing in ca. 2.0 meters of water. Very abundant locally. Flowers and fruits present. Flowers pale green. Sepals muddy red. Habitat: very loose aggregation of floating species with scattered emergent shrubs. Dominated by Ludwigia kelminthorrhiza, with smaller amounts of Salvinia sp., Pistia stratiotes and Polygonum sp. 7/15/98 #4541 Collected by: N. Ritter, G. E. Crow , M. Garvizu and C. Crow.
