    Gentle south slope. Artemisia arbuscula nova/Poa secunda community. Associated with Phlox hoodii, Coryphantha missouriensis, Opuntia polyacantha, Poa secunda, Haplopappus acaulis, Castilleja angustifolia, Penstemon pumilis, Astragalus purshii. Common. Very shallow, gravelly soil.
