Young saplings of the following trees were sprouting on the roadside: Betula
neoalaskana, Ainus viridis, Populus tremuloides, Salix bebbiana, Populus
balsamifera and Picea glauca. Herbs and small shrubs along the roadside include:
Taraxacum officinale, Hedysarum alpinum, Potentilla norvegica, Shepherdia
canadensis, Cornus canadensis, Arnica angustifolia, Equisetum pratense,
Hierochloe odorata, Linnaea borealis, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Antennaria rosea,
Achillea millefolium, Lupinus arcticus, Galium boreale, Bromus inermis, Solidago*
decumbens and Rubus idaeus.
