West side of Dyer Bay, on east facing slopes along coast, between ends of "Blue Trail" and "Red Trail", south of Schooner Point opposite Sheep Island.

    Acidic-salty humus, sand, gravel; granitic-gneissic outcrops and glacial boulders, littoral zone. In upper freshwater seepage-influenced salt marsh at high tide mark with Juncus gerardii. Coastal evergreen conifer forest (boreal forest), dominated by Abies balsamea, Picea rubens. Patches of salt marsh below dominated by Juncus gerardi, Spartina spp.

    Local, colonial fleshy erect herb with white rhizome rooted in peat and sand; flowers dried; stems scattered.
