aspect W, elev. 4480’, soils basalt. Grass/forb community on
open ridge with shallow soils over basalt. Common, firs yellow.
Associates: Trifolium macrocephalum, Balsamorhiza sagittata,
Allium tolmiei, Camassia quamash, Clarkia pulchella,
Calochortus nitidus, Scutellaria angustifolia, Danthonia
unispicata, Madia gracilis, Penstemon venustus.
