Steep, northerly granitic face with little soil
development; upper chaparral association including Abies
concolor, Ceanothus integerrimus, Haplopappus
cuneatus, Poa scabrella, Castilleja cf. martinii, Brickellia
ccdifornica, Eriophyllum confertiflorum, and Delphinium
patens montanum.
Highly localized succulent perennial, locally
abundant but not seen elsewhere in vicinity. Flowers
bright yellow; petals spreading, rotate.
