Forest along river. Tree to over 10 m. Flowers borne mostly on the defoliate part of the branches. Pedicels greenish yellow. Hypanthium orange with yellow lobes. Petals pink outside with dark pink apices and fimbriate white margins, pale pink inside. Filaments white, connectives pink with a dark dorsal gland, locules creamy white. Style cream.
