GENTIANACEAE
Locally common herbs, petals apically white, green-spotted
& yellow proximally. Growing in peat (Salamatof peat, 0-
2% slopes; Dysic Sphagnic Cryofibrists) in a raised bog &
patterned fen with natural terracing & ponds, with
Andromeda polifolia, Betula nana, Carex limosa, C.
pauciflora, C. viridula, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Coptis
trifolia, Cornus suecia, Deschampsia caespitosa, Drosera
anglica, D. rotundifolia, Empetrum nigrum, Erigeron
peregrinus subsp. peregrinus, Eriophorum angustifolium,
Geocaulon lividum, Iris setosa, Juncus stygius, Ledum
decumbens, Lycopodium annotinum, Menyanthes trifoliata,
Myrica gale, Pedicularis labradorica, Picea mariana, Rubus
chamaemorus, Sanguisorba sp. (?), Scheuchzeria palustris,
Scirpus caespitosus, Sphagnum capillifolium var.
capillifolium, S. juscum, S. lindbergii, S. papillosum, S.
recurvum var. tenue, Spiraea stevenii (= S. beauverdiana),
Vaccinium oxycoccos & V. uliginosum. To the S. side of
Petersville Road, around 12mi W. of the intersection with Rt.
3 in Trapper Creek. Matanuska-Susitna Borough. Elev.
