Abundant in a young olive orchard eight miles north of Oro-
- ville in places rather wet in early spring, but dry at time of col-
lecting. This is evidently “the smaller and nearly prostrate state
found on dry ground under growing grain in rather low fields,”
mentioned by Greene in Flora Franciscana 180.
