of Isla del Ratán (+ 5o 2' N., 67° 46' W.). Secondary forest. Sandy
soil.
Tree, 23 m tall. D.B.H. - 32 cm. Woodsample from
80 cm height.Bole cylindrical, slightly lobed at the base. Bark
grey; fInely,deeply and retlculately fissured. Leaves thinly
coriaceous, smooth, slightly glossy and dark green above, shining
and pale green beneath. Flowers yellow.
