Description
Widely spreading trees; divided into large main branches below the middle; ultimate branches widely spreading; wood soft, white; bark smoothish, mottled; leaves spreading, (clustered?) toward ends of twigs, coriaceous, deep green above and shining, yellowish-green beneath, flat or with tips little recurved; stalks of infrutescence dull yellowish; immature berries viscid and green, shining black when fully mature; inflorescence with a strong butternut shell odor. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
