Along trail in Bronx River Reservation entering at Bronx River
Parkway in Scarsdale to Tucahoe along the Bronx River ca. 40°58’N,
ca. 73°48’W. Associated with Acer, Aesculus, Ornithogalum, Alliaria
Pinus and Tsuga canadensis.
Erect arching herb, ca. 1 m in height. Single stem with alternate
leaves, sheathing leaf bases. Two parallel veins. Grows from white
rhizomes. Hanging green round fruits, with 2 from each axil.
