/irtr The New York Botanical Garden NOT A TYPE of Dudleya minor Rose Bull. N.Y. Bot. Gard. 3:19. 1903. The type was collected by Dr. H.E. Hasse on June, 1902 (Rose, no. 421) but this specimen is from a living plant which flowered in 1905 in cultivation "in Washington". Art. 9 note 3 of the 1966 International Code of Botanical Nomenclature is Art. 9.5 in the 1983 Code: "Type specimens of names of taxa must be pre- served permanently and cannot be living plants or cultures". NY has two isotypes which were apparently original specimens taken in 1902. This specimen removed from type herbarium 6/88.
