San Bernardino Co.: Pinto Mountains, ca. 3.8 km north-northwest of Gold Park on road to Twenty nine Palms. 34°02'58"N, 115°59'45"W. Elev. ca. 1000 m. With Yucca schidigera, Eriogonum fasciculatum, Hilaria. Low rocky hill with NE exposure. James C. Dice 612 2 June 1985 Carpellate plant. Spreading perennial to ca. 4 m across with 14 leaf rosettes. Stems branching at or just above ground, procumbent, the longest ca. 1 dm long. The largest rosette 1.2 m in diameter, with approxi- mately 52 leaves. Leaves glaucous. Compound panicle to 2.1 m tall, 3.4 dm wide at widest point. Stalk 2.5 cm in diameter at base, bare the lowermost 40% of its length. Ovary 3-lobed, yellow-green. Tepals white. 03572571
