Nolina bigelovii (Torr.) S. Wats. -f-
Plant multi-trunked, branching at ground level,
with 3 leaf rosettes; longest stem 11 cm long,
cm in diam. at base; largest leaf rosette 1.15
m in diam., with 62 lvs.; Lvs. glaucous on new
growth, yellowish-green otherwise; Panicle 1.94
m tall, sterile the lower 1.3 m, and 17 cm wide
at widest point; infl. stalk 22 mm in diam. at
base, bearing 41-2° panicle branches, the longest
8.5 cm long; longest 3° panicle branch 6.5 cm
long; tepals white. Locally common on west-
facing slope with Juniperus, Pinus, Quercus.
