Infrequent in upper part of ravine, on W facing slopes.
Mohave Co.: East edge of Highway 93, ca. 0.2 km south of
Kaiser Spring. With Eriogonum, Ephedra, Cercidum, Fouquieria
splendens. Encelia farinosa, and Acacia greggii.

Staminate plant. Multi-trunked shrub to 1.4 m tall
(including leaf rosette) and spreading to 2.3 m.
Leaves glaucous. Compound panicle to 2.8 m tall and
55 cm wide at widest point. Base of stalk 3.5 cm in
diameter. Honey bees were virtually covering the
four inflorescences.
