area, near cave. Elev. 900-1000 ft. Cumberland Plateau,
in humus among limestone talus and boulders, midslope.
Mesic oak cove forest, N-facing, shaded. Acer
saccharum, Quercus rubra, Q. alba, Q. muehlenbergii.
Flowers white, turning lilac, with dark purple lines;
frequent erect herb often in large colonies.
