    Perennial shrub of 1-1.5m tall with red velvety stem, propagating from runners of up to 4m long. Leaves alternate; petioles 10mm long; lamina simple, glabrous, dark green, distinct yellow midvein, elliptical, 20x120mm, margins dentate.
