  • Habitat

    Mata Cipó: open forest with many climbing plants and shrubby vegetation on sandy soil, with spiny plants such as cacti, shrubby Mimosoideae, Marantaceae, Anthurrium, Cryptanthus, and bambusoid grasses of the Raddia line. Vegetation dries out but revives quickly by rains; flowering time Sept. through Dec. Common locally in rich soil under shrubs above stream, the most robust of the species found.
