loam, moist. Probably some weathered volcanic ash.
Seasonally wet forest, Pseudotsuga, Rhamnus,
Physocarpus, Cornus, Acer circinatum, Holodiscus.
Understory. Abundant (dominant) evergreen fern in larg
clumps ca. 1 m tall and wide; fronds erect. Shaded.
