Mesic-scrubby flatwoods, close to baygall. With
Pinus taeda, Liquidambar styraciflua, Rhus
copallina, Myrica cerifera. Coarse herb, ca 2.5
m tall. Flowers purple; corolla tube 1.5 mm
long; corolla lobes 1 mm long. Soil sandy-black.
