Nutt. vX var. brevispicata Umber Socorro County: 19.2 miles W of Socorro, New Mexico on US 60. Calyx almost not glandular flower 1.0-1.1 cm some sweetly fragrant, rocky sandy calcereous soil. Ascending to 8" leaves soft, doubtfully perennial. Opuntia common, no larrea plain abundant some with white and some colored tube hairs (10 colored - 1 white). Ray E.
