DEPTO. SANTA Cruz, Prov. Santiestevan, 23 km (straight
line) NW of bridge at Chañé Independencia
16°50’42”S, 63°23’41”W. alt. 220 m.
Very flat, silty soil, mostly cleared of forest for fields of
Saccharum officinarum, Glycine max. Disturbed area along
shallow drainage ditch between road and fields, the ditch
mostly leaving recently dried soil, but some water still in
the deeper part.
Erect annual herbs 3-4 m. tall, with single erect stem and
slender ¿horizontal branches. Almost all the plants are
completely dried and with fruit, only this one still with
some leaves.
