GUYANA. Cuyuni-Mazaruni. Kako River, vicinity of Camp 3, ca 21 air
kilometers east of Tulameng summit (summit 1534m, N 5°33'27.1", W
60°59'34.7"). 490 m 5°33'33.7"N 60°47'3.8"W. Riparian forest around
established Amerindian camp. Seasonally flooded, brown sand laterite.
Disturbed. Erect herb. Leaf bases purple. Inflorescence scapose,
subtended by three leaf-like bracts. Glumes green, nutlets brown. Silica
sample.
