BLAINE COUNTY: T01S R18E S19 SWNENW. Sagebrush flats of Macon
Flat on Camas Prairie, ca. 35.4 air-km E of Fairfield and 30 air-km S of
Hailey. In vemally-wet weak drainage ca. 0.8 km W of "Sheep Bridge" Big
Wood river crossing, on N side of two-track road, N of river. In shelter of
sagebrush. Flowers yellow, bulbs 0.5 cm wide by 0.75 cm long to 2.0 cm wide
by 1.5 cm long. Cream-colored bulbs with easily-detached off-set rice-sized
bulblets (bulbels); also thin root-bound soil cap on bottom of bulb, easily
detached when collected. Area very little grazed, wIPoa sandbergii, Sitanion
hystrix, Agropyron spicatum, Claytonia lanceolata, Viola beckwithii,
Ranunculus glaberrimus, Lupinus, Artemisia. Locally common.
