opposite Claude Rd. in Moose Creek [Eielson Farm Communities], 64° 39'
925" N, 147° 11' 222" W, 12 June 2000, Jason R. Grant 00-3839a.
Abandoned fields with young saplings (Populus balsamifera, Alnus crispa,
Salix bebbiana, Betula neoalaskana, Picea glauca, Larix laricina, and Salix
alaxensis). Herbs and small shrubs in the fields include: Arctostaphylos uva-
ursi, Taraxacum officinale, Epilobium angustifolium, Shepherdia canadensis,
Ledum groenlandicum, Arnica angustifolia, Empetrum nigrum, Potentilla
fruticosa, Senecio pauciflorus, Spiranthes romanzojfiana, Equisetum pratense
and Calamagrostis canadensis.
At this site, Botrychium lunaria (00-3839a) and B. minganense (00-3839b),
grow abundantly together.
