Extensive sandstone glade surrounded by mixed conifer (Juniperus, Pinus taeda, P. virginiana)- hardwood (Carya, Chionanthus, Liquidambar, Nyssa, Quercus alba, Q. falcata, Q. marilandica, Q. prinus) forest with Vaccinium and Ligustrum understory. saxicolous on sandstone.
